A circa 1880 English aesthetic movement solid chestnut hall bench or window seat of rare single seat form attributed to James Shoolbred & Co. of London, the rectangular molded-edge top with turned cylindrical bolsters each end above flat friezes joining tapering turned legs. Wonderful for use as originally intended otherwise chicly used as a side or occasional table beside a club or lounge chair.
