Rare, circa 1805 Swedish late Gustavian period neoclassical parcel gilt and painted torchere of tall form having round top above tapering tripod legs with female bust capitals connected by central triangular shelf on concave tripartite platform base ending in finely carved paw feet. This exceptional piece exhibits several stable layers of historical paint schemes as shown in images. Top measures 15.75″ round.
