French Beaux-Arts, circa 1855, India ink wash drawing on paper of large scale entitled “Rome Fragments Antiqves” attributed to important French Beaux-Arts architect Gabriel-Auguste Ancelet (1829 – 1895) depicting a large strigilated sarcophagus , ‘Warwick Vase’ on pedestal, capitals, roundels, pedestals, and acanthus frieze housed in an Empire style giltwood frame with compound French mat. Work is 25″ by 37″.
